Reliance Jio to launch VoLTE enabled feature phones, priced below ₹1500!

Reliance Jio is planning to launch two feature phones with 4G VoLTE support, priced  ₹999 and  ₹1,500.
At least two such low-cost Reliance Jio VoLTE feature phones are said to be planned by the company, which will come with amazing welcome offers with free voice call and other jio services.

These feature phones are expected to come with keypad, front and rear-facing camera with Android OS and hopefully with Jio's app network such as Jio Chat, Live TV and video on demand.
Lava International will manufacture these featured phone with the branding of both Reliance Jio & Lava.

Reliance Jio will use "Spreadtrum" chipsets to enable 4G VoLTE calls on the feature phones. Reliance Jio is rumored to be in talk with Qualcomm and MediaTek for a huge lump of the processors used in smartphones nowadays.

Now a days 4G VoLTE smartphones are available at starting price of around Rs. 3,500-4,000, peoples in India still enjoying the "Welcome Offer" offered by Reliance Jio, however, the current Reliance Jio Happy New Year Offer – which provides free calls, data, and other services – expires on March 31, 2017. According to a survey from Economics Times In India, about 65% of the total 1 billion mobile users are of feature phones. So we think if VoLTE feature phones come into the market it wont force people to upgrade from a feature phone to a smart phone, rather it will be an upgrade from feature phone to VoLTE feature phone.
